Locally, Calhoun County Electric Cooperative awards four $500 scholarships each year. Any Senior student who is a dependent of a Calhoun County Electric Cooperative member is eligible to apply.

2024 applications were due Friday, February 9, 2024 and recipients are being evaluated. An announcement will be made soon.

These scholarships are considered an investment in the economic future of rural areas. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, potential to succeed, leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, and a statement of education and career goals. The scholarships must be used for educational costs, and the student must attend college in the fall of the school year for which the scholarship is awarded.
